632! Table 632! I’m back in my hometown for Planet Comicon, Kansas City’s somethingest whateverly, and I’ll be at booth/table/entertainonode 632!

It’s a three-day show, and I’ll be there — likely entabled — all of the hours on all of the days. Bad news: the prices for adults are … kinda crappy. Especially because anyone 13+ is apparently an adult. Good news: kids 8-12 can get in at one 1/3rd the price, and kids under 7 are free!

Also, if you regularly read dinosaur kid, there’s a good chance you love or will love other webcomics, and my hometown press syndicate is bringing in 30 contemporary greats for the weekend. All of these creators will be in one big mega-booth, and you should show them some love.

I’m real happy to see GoComics bring this crowd to our local convention. People in webcomics don’t really use the word “webcomics” nowadays (they get more readers than anything in print, so they’re just “comics” now, obviously, right?), but our scene is still kind of partitioned off from the “mainstream” of conventions, i.e. superheroes and sci fi, and I think it’d be good for a lot of people if webcomics were able to muscle their way in a bit more, kinda like anime has. So thanks to Andrews McMeel for putting this together, thanks to Planet Comicon for having them (and me, off to the side, hullo), and thanks to you for reading.
